More

One thing that needs to be said and can not be said enough, if you love history this is your place to visit.

Fireplace from an old stone house

The first evidence of human presence in Ireland is from about 33,000 years ago. Because of this the history is rich in Ireland. Littered throughout the country are castles you can visit and if you stray off the path, maybe you can find some very old human living situations or gravesites.

A burial ground

When you visit most of the historical sites there will usually be a guide talking and giving facts about the place. Almost everywhere you will go will have some sort of historical significance because of how deep the roots run in Ireland.

In 2019 I took trip with my family to Ireland. We stayed in County Clare in a small cozy house. Every day we were out doing something, exploring, finding new places and taking in the culture. We had only planned going to the Cliffs of Moher and to go to a couple old castles.

But due to the way Ireland works we were finding new things every single day. Each corner you turn will be a new experience that could change your life. My favorite part from spending time in Ireland was just going out and hiking and taking pictures of the wildlife throughout the country side.

Be ready to see plenty of rock fences. All throughout the countryside you will see rock fences one after another. At first I was so confused and did not understand why this was a thing, I remember laughing it off as something silly. But later on after some research there was a very long back story as to why they were everywhere. (a story worth looking up if you love history) This was vital to my experience and something you should remember before you visit, that you must be ready to accept and to learn new things when you visit new places. This is the beauty of traveling, learning the ways of new cultures.

I cannot suggest visiting Ireland enough. You will want to move here after you leave that is how beautiful it is.

Where To Stay

No matter where you go, you will be welcome.

If you want to relax and take in our scenery then you can stay at an Airbnb of your choosing in one of the counties in the lower east. County Clare is by the ocean and can provide views of the top quality.

Beautiful sceneries to be seen by you!

Ireland has an unmatched cuisine. Bangers and mash is a local favorite that you need to try. How can you come to Ireland without our pride and joy: Guinness beer. If you go to any of the local pubs you can have all of these things served by the nicest people you will meet. The Ireland people are known for their kindness and welcoming arms so stop by a local restaurant and ask some people questions and you may find a new friend.

Practicalities

Ireland is one of the few places that is very easy to plan a trip to and easy to get accustomed to once you get here. Flights will usually be cheap to get here and once your here, you can just rent a car and get pretty much anywhere. (watch out though, our roads are thin!)

You get to visit cows while you drive!

Most of the time you will be able to get around Ireland by simply renting a car, we have roads everywhere that are well taken care of. Especially if you are staying outside of the city in more rural areas it is easy to have a car. If you are staying in our cities it might just be easier to take our expansive bussing systems that can take you anywhere within the city areas.

The best part about Ireland is the must see views throughout the countryside, so when traveling you are going to want to stop and take in the beauty. Traffic is not a problem and there is not a lot of crowded streets so you will be more than welcome to stop and take it all in.
